Club of Young Farmers
History
In December 1997 began to work the prepatory commitee for the establishment of CYF. The civil and interest association. The idea for the establishment of the association arose from needs and initiative of young farmers. This way we want that in Slovakia live and work a lot of young farmers who are hold in reverence by the farmland. They want not only take from this but also they want to give. So they must point out on their problems and discrimition against the privatised gigants and out of action cooperatives which are artificially keeped up.
In spite of the hard difficulties from the side big privatisers without the financial and moral support we´ve obtained a registration of our association CYF on the 7th in May and we organised an General Assembly of young farmers from all Slovakia.
The member base constitutes the young farmers and rural youth in the age 15 - 40 years. In the leader function can be direct farmers in the age 18 - 35 years.
Our goals
To associate young farmers and rural youth
to organise their formal and unformal meetings to obtain more information and to exchange experriences
to provide advisory services for the members in the field of the enterpreuneures, economic and community life on the countryside
to provide learning and facilities for the members by the educational and training courses
to create info databank for the inter needs of the members
to create the conditions for the members for their participation in the self - help programmes
to protect the interests of the members their ownership law and to represent interests against the official officers and third person
to find out the inland and foreing financial sources suitable for the support of the countryside
to cooperate with the similar organistaions in Slovakia and abroad
to strike up international cooperation for the improving of the rural life
to cooperate by the creating of the new laws
to contribute to the creating of the inited Europe
